Most recently prior to coming to Radiant Smiles she was the Dental Department Head at Branch Dental Clinic Monterey, located on the Naval Postgraduate School Campus in beautiful Monterey, California where she provided comprehensive dental services to over 1300 active duty Air force, Navy, Coast Guard, Army, and foreign military servicemen and women. She earned her Comprehensive Dentistry Certification in 2018 and a Master of Science in Oral Biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). In 2016 she was selected for the Comprehensive Dentistry Postgraduate Residency Program located at the prestigious Naval Postgraduate Dental School/Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland. As Department Head, she led a multinational team of active duty and civilian dental professionals, including 37 dentists, 2 hygienists, and 42 dental assistants and provided dental treatment for well over 6,000 underserved patients in the host nations of Fiji, Papua New Guinea, The Philippines, and Vietnam. Redgate was selected to serve as the Dental Department Head for the humanitarian mission Pacific Partnership. She was even awarded the career highlight of serving on the USNS Mercy Hospital Ship as the Department Head. She served as a dentist onboard The USS Carl Vinson Aircraft Carrier and worked in a variety of naval dental clinics throughout the San Diego area from 2011-2016. She completed a General Practice Postdoctoral Residency Program at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego California in 2011. She gained extensive experience in Operative Dentistry, Oral surgery, Endodontics, Orofacial Pain, Prosthodontics, and Periodontics and had the opportunity to be mentored by the best Navy dental specialists in both San Diego and Washington D.C. She then proudly served her country for the last 11 years as general dentist in the Navy. Thereafter she attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 2010 and was additionally an honored recipient of the Naval Health Profession Scholarship (HPSP). She graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She attended the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana from 2002-2006 on the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship Program (NROTC). Her passion for dentistry stems from a calling to help others and combines her love of medicine and art. Redgate has over a decade of experience as a dentist and is dedicated to providing gentle, compassionate, and transparent service to her patients.
